Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot) Alpha 3



Ubuntu is a community developed operating system that is perfect for laptops, desktops and servers. Whether you use it at home, school or at work Ubuntu contains all the applications you'll ever need, from word processing and email applications, to web server software and programming tools.

Ubuntu will always be free of charge. You do not pay license fees. You can download, use and share Ubuntu with, family friends school, or business matter. We issue a new desktop and server release every six months. That means you'll always have the latest and greatest applications that the open source world has to offer.

For Ubuntu 11:10 (OCELOT Oneiric) development, the Ubuntu developers have decided to stick with Natty modified release schedule. That means, for the three versions of Alpha and two Beta release. Without further introduction, here is the official release schedule for Ubuntu 11:10 (OCELOT Oneiric):

1. June 2, 2011 - Alpha 1 release
2. June 30, 2011 - Alpha 2 release
3. August 4, 2011 - Alpha 3 release
4. 1 September 2011 - Beta 1 release
5. 22 September 2011 - Beta 2 release
6. October 13, 2011 - Final release of Ubuntu 11.10
